the gold slab, the blue facade, and the white strips combine well to create a true icon for Melbourne's skyline, although i think they should've cladded the red sticks in stainless steel. it's nice that the architect hid the balconies in the most inconspicuous part of the building to make it look as nice as possible and still give the residents open-air views of the city. the base is really bad though; they should've design it to complement the tower.

8.5 (the tower itself without the base gets a 9.5)

heh...no matter how good a building is, there'll always be someone who give it <3.0s cuz they just feel like doing so.

yes ,Eureka is the worlds tallest building in its type being -apartments to roof.
On completion, it was officially the worlds 35th tallest skyscraper but has come in a respecticable 22nd highest to roof.

Stunning building. Will be an icon of Melbourne and I am just glad that it's in Australia.

Is it true that the gold, red, blue and white is to represent the Eureka Stockade? If so it's a story that isn't very well circulated.

Amazing building let down slightly by the podium, which doesn't do the rest of the building justice.
