I agree the base isn't all that good, but the tower itself is outstanding. I was a serious doubter before it was completed, but on completion, it has taken my breath away. Far better than renders, and - at least from a distance - certainly one of the best towers in recent times built anywhere in the world.

I love this building...it's height is awesome (some angles it looks breathtakingly tall) but I'm a bit disappointed it doesn't have any lighting system at night and the base is a bit tacky...IMO...overall though it rocks.

There's no lights at night because the upper floors are still an empty shell.

its a residential bldg, it cant be lit at night. many angry residents wouldnt like that.maybe some roof lighting of an architectural feature like a spire or fin. but cant blast lighting onto units glass. its totally dif situation compared to an office tower which is basically empty after 5pm.
see what i mean with Q1s lighting arc feature or spire>
rest of tower isnt lit.only unoccupied top.

former worlds tallest resi- the 262m/73st Trump world tower at far left with ESB & Chrysler lit up inbackgrd (because there office towers).
