The residential buildings look great. It's official, I can't get enough from this thread and this mesmerizing city. I just love Barcelona, the queen - king of Modernismo! I think the city deserves a complex of buildings designed by Santiago Calatrava. His remarkably recognizable style could look amazing under the sun rays of Mediterranean Europe. Of course, this is only a wet dream from an architecture lover.

I'm very glad you appreciate our beautiful city, and thanks for the positive feedback !

We already have 2 works by Santiago Calatrava in the city, although we would say that he's not very appreciated in the whole Spain ( his projects are quite polemic in this country).

Anyway, those are the Pont Bac de Roda, a bridge, and the Torre Calatrava (torre de comunicacions de Montjuic), a communications tower.

I've read about Torre Calatrava sometime ago. I was actually reading about Palau Sant Jordi, because one of my favorite bands was having a concert in that venue in Barcelona and I decide it to google it. Then I've read about the neighboring Torre Calatrava, the article on Wikipedia says that: the base is covered with trencadís, Gaudí's mosaic technique created from broken tile shards. Here's the article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montju...ications_Tower
I hope some photos won't be considered offtopic since they are showcasing a beautiful sports venue in Barcelona, with the neighboring tower designed by Calatrava. Also I've just read that the multi purpose arena is designed by the Japanese architect Arata Isozaki, and that it was opened in 1990.

Indeed!
Btw, what's the current plan for upcoming construction phases of Sagrada Familia?
When will the main towers get finished?

Current plans talk about the central towers (Virgin Mary, Evangelists and Jesus ) being finished by 2020, and leaving the Glory facade as the last part of the temple to be completed.

And thank you Architecture Lover for the pictures of Palau Sant Jordi !

Too bad they dropped the ilumination poles from the original design. It made the whole thing look a lot more futuristic...

I agree with you ! Although after the changes it still looks pretty and tasteful, the poles made quite a difference.

For those who may not know if, this was the original design for the stadium:
