i really find the the pictures especially the first very insulting to all people with a spec of humanity!!!!

the only reason iraq is what it is now because of western greed, because saddam hussain wasnt going to give them all the oil so instead they destroyed it!

look at dubia now, most of you think oh what a spectacular place, in the 70's while it was still a desert that no one had heard of, baghdad was so developed, the westerns fears (i say this with great shame being a westerner my self) of iraq being developed and conrolling the middle east's wealth led them to destroy it!
i bet you are all thinking what i am on about, i was part of a university confrence held in baghdad university, which was attended by most of the iraqi officails back in the 70's. where after the confrence they expressed their worries about western intervention in the iraqi economical and financial sector (which the oil was the biggest intake for the country)

Paris and perhaps NYC I can understand, but what I don't understand is why Rio is so popular? Architecture-wise the majority of its building aint something to brag about, but hey, better Rio than Chicago!

I'll do something original, maybe O.T but the best cities of our more recent times, I mean the right places to be in right now (unfortuntely I can stand only for Europe), for different, complementar reasons are:

Krakow (amazing atmosphere, go visit)
Berlin (loosing some ground but still in)
Rotterdam (Amsterdam is beautiful but what attracts me more is creativity and Rotterdam has a lot to give)
London
Turin
and, without any form of campanilism, my city: Milan.
I guess also Instambul is one of them (and also Valencia in Spain) but I only stand for places I've been. Paris, Rome, Venice, Florence: beautiful places, but maybe a little backwarded in their past glory to be representing the spirit of our time.
