It won't ever look like that again! It's just light testing.

I know, but just the way the lit up windows look at night interests me.

Why would anyone design such a unique looking building and decide to top it off with a bit of f*cking string.

True. When they installed scaffolding I thought they will eventually finish it off properly but obviously it's not the case here as they're packing up. As long as you don't look at the top the tower still looks pretty decent but the crown alone is huge disappointment. It looks as they made it cheapest way possible - in fact those wires are barely visible on half of the pictures posted here. To be honest I think half of the crown would look better alone without thouse sticking out poles and tacky wires.

i can see the tower everyday from my office and as i see it now i cannot agree more with what you wrote....if they couldn't afford to put more money to build a decent crown, then should have just stopped half way with those poles and the tower would have still look beautiful !!!

It really reminds of Malmö's Turning Torso...only taller.

If this still qualifies as a supertall with that tat on top there must be loads of 250 plus mtr tall buildings with big flagpoles that should make it in as well.

^ Don't be silly, it's clearly an architectural element, just a really cheap, rubbish one.

I wonder if a small crane could still finish the job without scaffolding.

Someone needs to come up with some new design ideas. Perhaps add a different colour or style because the skyline is looking a tad tedious with all the buildings looking similar.
