Will they restore the promenade to its original shape when foundation is poured? Looks kinda unaesthetically now imo.

... you mean the horizontal props? They might be removed if the basement consists of load bearing concrete slabs like many other buildings. Does anybody have any engineering drawing of it?

Piles are the stuff at the boundary between the hole and the soil.

horizontal?? there are only horizontal pipes....i mean the vertical piles for the foundation

Right, but they aren't pipes... they're props that resist soil pressure...
