An 18-story 1,400-room Hilton hotel will break ground before the end of the year and, when completed in 2009, be connected to the north concourse of the Orange County Convention Center by an elevated walkway.

A proposed route map is displayed as Gov. Jeb Bush announces the nearly $491 million deal with CSX that will bring commuter rail to Central Florida.

c/o firemick at up:

Park Towers Altamonte: 16 story and 13 story luxury condo residential towers on southbank of Cranes Roost. (sitework)

Notice how they dwarf the 8 story apt. bldg. which is presently topped off with the north face complete to the left. It is currently visible from I-4 beyond the first Emerson tower which opened recently. THe apt. bldg. is in the shape of a rectangle and encompasses its owh parking deck within; it is self contained.

It's Reunion Grande being built by Turner. No photos, but there is a rendering and siteplan somewhere... condos. the site is amazing and as you probably noticed, there are dozens of bldgs. U/C all over that property. It is already dwarfing ChampionsGate and will soon dwarf Celebration.

c/o maxxlife at up, this is a view from Washington and Magnolia looking NE. THe foreground shows the Dynetech construction site, with the Vue a block away. These two bldgs., when finished, will compliment Amsouth greatly with regards to density in that area.

clo Tim3167 at up, this next photo shows the western-most edge of the 55W construction site, which abuts the CSX tracks. In the right-back of the photo, you can see the original Church St. train station w/ the locomotive in front. The Commuter Rail line is to have a station at Church Street as well.

c/o bulldogger at up, here are construction photos of 55W from a couple of weeks back:

c/o dannyh at up, this photo shows the Paramount construction site with Waverly in the background.

c/o palmtree73 at up, this is a view from Waverly looking east over the Paramount site. Sanctuary is in the background:
