very true... binondo area is very expensive piece of land. the chinese community want their place to look like singapore's chinatown. i just hope that their culture will be retained.

yes. i love binondo..

but i hope traffic will be reorganized there.. like placing more one-way streets or if possible, widening some roads.. beautiful place except for the congestion. they must also rehabilitate the riverfront properties in their area.. megaworld and anchorland must buy some properties in those areas for rehabilitation..

^ speaking of riverfront properties... hindi na kailangan pang gumawa ng mga bagong builidings for that place. they could just rehabilitate those buildings like the old prudential building and other abandoned structures there.

Is there a way to spruce up Binondo so it will be presentable? Maybe start up a committee composed of the local people as well as the Mayor's office. People, businessmen and tourists will surely troop to Binondo when it's more organized and clean looking.

I think Binondo is an integral part of Chinatown which is being managed/develop by the Chinatown Commission nga ba. I forgot the organization basta it is made up of fil-chi businessmen, private people, and some from Manila City Hall. yun nga lang, parang di sila ganoon ka-active sa development and renewal ng Chinatown.

I just went there yesterday.
apart from being the only guailo tourist it was very rinky-dink there with not nice streets and stinky khlong water.

Hope that theres someone here na may kakilala sa Chinatown Commission at sabihin yong mga sentiments natin para naman aksyonan nila para gumanda ang Binondo kasi maganda talaga tong lugar na to kung ayusin lang..sila rin naman makinabang eh...

And to think that it's now down to around two-thirds the original planned number of towers.

The massive square tower will be the one housing both Richmonde Cityplace and the offices as far as I know.

i must agree.. it still looks nice... we must andrew tan for his company's rehab efforts of binondo..
