Name: B2B Tower

KM Properties unveils creekside B2B Tower
[Saturday, June 10, 2006 2:19:00 pm]

KM Properties, part of the Knowledge Management Group, has announced its latest creek-side high quality freehold office tower in the city’s upcoming district, Business Bay. The 19-storey B2B Tower will be completed in October 2008.

The striking blue-grey tower has been designed by leading international architect Carlos Ott, and is a contemporary fusion of glass and chrome. Ott has a track-record for designing landmark buildings, including L’Opera de la Bastille and National Bank of Dubai’s headquarters on Dubai Creek.

The construction will be carried out by Al Rostamani Pegel LLC, a member of the Al Rostamani Group of Companies. The company was created in partnership with the Berlin-based firm Gustav Pegel & Sohn.

Pre-launch demand has already been significant, with a high-profile US-based multinational corporation already securing office space for its regional head office.
Multi-option, investor-tailored financing is being offered by KM Properties.

Thanks to the innovative curved design, the building offers varying views, which will look over Burj Dubai and Dubai’s downtown business district, which runs from the city’s arterial highway, Sheikh Zayed Road, alongside the new creek from Ras Al Khor.

B2B Tower will be equipped with technological innovations including security, office automation, satellite communications, and bespoke lighting systems.

now that"s hot!

Nothing wrong with 300ft towers. Plus they add to stats well.

Sweet little "tower"

The name is surely a copyright breach of that Lebanese breakfast chain- B2B (aka Breakfast 2 Breakfast)..... I suppose the name will eventually be changed.

Face, B2B means "Business To Business" and is a term refering to subscription based Internet portals, connecting businesses (companies) and allowing them to exchange data, information, goods and services.

For example, Tejari.com is a B2B platform.

Altin, I do know that! I was just saying, that it may be a copyright infringement issue as the restaurant chain has the same name.

first of all... why is that small island highlighted as well?

secondly.. i dont trust KM properties... they look like another damac - keep on announcing projects with little or no results

well they are also part of a large group.

but that is a little bit pointless, don't u think...
well, they failed with Park Square, it was probably not their fault...
but the rest... it is not the only tower which hasn't started construction

i guess the island is not highlighted but it just looks like that in the map, maybe a park.

and location is pretty good.

The local/German Al-Rostamani Pegel has been awarded the main construction contract. Uruguay’s Carlos Ott is the architect.

B2B TOWER INSPIRATION

A prime blue diamond tulip tints the heart of Business Bay in downtown Dubai.

A stupendous spray of long pointed leaves and inward silky-mauve curving petals rushes to greet the sky. Nineteen storeys of offices are embodied between unfolding ethereal blue glass petals, detached by transparent glass and a powerful silver pistil.

An extraordinary example of contemporary architecture prospers from a calyxlike podium with several splits. The sepals arise dynamically enclosing the bewildering promenade along the covered walkway that surrounds the retail area.

The structure, thus, is composed of a podium that contains a retail floor, two
parking levels and a technical floor; and nineteen flexible office storey that indulge tenants with breathtaking views. Highly efficient, with multiple corners
and possibilities, the office layouts are able to serve either multiple or single
tenants.

Superb innovation is accomplished with rigorous symmetry. The result is impressive and yet bears the delicacy of a flower. The iconic blue diamond tulip blossoms in the day colours of Dubai’s Business Bay, and glows, flaring like a potent bright flame during the nights.
