Project board:

Construction (piling) on the way, as on 10/06/2006:

Sorry Flo, it isn't really a futuristic version on Madina Tower, but it looked liked that on the back-litted board at night.

i am deeply disappointed altin.. but nevermind, i think it is not too bad since is slightly similar to habtoor grand, especially the top.

where is the exact location? directly behind? it seems to be more on the right towards the marina entrance?

Look at this map:

The tower is on plot 9N

9A + 9B = Trident Grand residence
9C = Royal Oceanic
9Y = Habtoor Grand
9P = Empty plot at the moment

9P can't be built up.

on the other hand i can't see a govt plot no, e.g 392-xxx on the signboard like what u would expect, since this is the case with every signboard.

i also doubt this an official map, i don't think it is an emaar one since they would not indicate the best plot in the area belongs to nakheel, would they

btw can u confirm it is 9A AND B for TGR? we weren't sure but u might have seen the boarded area now... the layout of the basment suggested so, and Trident already bought 3 plots for their 2tower MS project as well.

It is clear from the shots taken from GV that TGR is infact two plots, i.e. 9 A and B.

they could have used a slightly different design i'd say

three similar towers, one taller than the other might look good as well

The client is Al Habtour Motors, the authorised dealer of Mitsubishi, Bentley and Aston Martins cars.

Still there will be a demand for offices in Marina, companies who serve the marina clients, like Facility Managment companies, personel (nannies, housemaids) and maintanance/services providers or even Real Estate Brokers.

Media City and JLT have Free Zone Status so they can't rent offices there.

Al Habtoor Group Announces New Project Details

Al Habtoor Group announced today that they have broken ground on an exciting new tower project in the Emirate’s newest, smartest upmarket hub, Dubai Marina. Apart from its many commercial tenants it will showcase the prestige marques of Aston Martin, Bentley and Bugatti on behalf of the Group’s Al Habtoor Motors division.

Mr Khalaf al Habtoor, Chairman of the Group said today, ”This stunning new building will provide the exclusive environment expected by the discerning buyers of these cars. Our clients will be able to browse in comfort and see their new vehicles at their very best. It will give the building a very special atmosphere.”

He continued, “Al Habtoor Marina Tower is unique as it is the closest commercial building to the residential areas at the beach and as such it commands magnificent views of the Arabian Gulf unavailable to any other business tower”.

Al Habtoor Marina Tower will be 41 storeys with a built area of nearly 50,000m2 and, as well as the showroom, will also be home to many other businesses looking for a prestige address and quality environment. Its situation in the fast developing Dubai Marina district gives it a powerful strategic location close to Media City, Internet City and Knowledge Village as well as being right in among the fashionable hotels of Jumeirah Beach, including the company’s own Habtoor Grand Resort and Spa, whose twin towers opened for business in 2005. Of course, being situated within easy striking distance of the Jebel Ali Free Zone as well as the new Jebel Ali Airport City and yet well within the glamour of the Jumeirah Beach district gives the new project a unique feel.

Khalaf al Habtoor reported that, “Our venture with the Habtoor Grand has been such a success that we knew a commercial development of this kind would be a valuable addition not just to our own portfolio but to the district as a whole. It’s an exciting time in an exciting area.”

The development is expected to complete well inside the next two years and marks a significant step forward for the Al Habtoor Group which recently celebrated its 35th anniversary by announcing two other hotel developments – on the Jumeirah Palm and in the mid-town Business Bay area.

I explained earlier, all these people that are suposed to live in Marina, would need alot of services, not just supermarkets and restaurants.

and here is more regarding that

Al Habtoor Tower breaks ground

Dubai: Al Habtoor Group said on Wednesday it has broken ground on the 41-storeyed Al Habtoor Marina Tower in Dubai Marina.

Apart from several commercial tenants, it will showcase the prestige marques of Aston Martin, Bentley and Bugatti on behalf of the group’s Al Habtoor Motors division.

Khalaf Al Habtoor, chairman of the group said, "This new building will provide an exclusive environment expected by the discerning buyers of these cars. Our clients will be able to browse in comfort and see their new vehicles at their very best. It will give the building a very special atmosphere.

"Al Habtoor Marina Tower is unique as it is the closest commercial building to the residential areas at the beach and as such it commands magnificent views of the Arabian Gulf unavailable to any other business tower."

Al Habtoor Marina Tower will have a built area of nearly 50,000 square metres and, along with the showroom, will also be home to many other businesses looking for a prestigious address and quality environment.

Its location in the fast-developing Dubai Marina district gives it a powerful strategic location close to Media City, Internet City and Knowledge Village as well as being right in among the hotels of Jumeirah Beach, including the company’s own Habtoor Grand Resort and Spa, whose twin towers opened for business in 2005.

Strategic location

Of course, being situated within easy reach of the Jebel Ali Free Zone as well as the new Jebel Ali Airport City and yet well within the glamour of the Jumeirah Beach district gives the new project a unique feel.

Al Habtoor said, "Our venture with the Habtoor Grand has been such a success that we knew a commercial development of this kind would be a valuable addition not just to our own portfolio but to the whole district."

The development is expected to be completed well inside the next two years and marks a significant step forward for the Al Habtoor Group, which recently celebrated its 35th anniversary.
