i've never admired 1 Raffles Quay for its unimaginative facade. it seems like a really dull and uncreative approach to what was intended as the most prestigious of addresses in the NDT. Maybe its a HK coup to forever thwart our skyline ambitions.

i know, very reactionist. hahahah. same way PSA was foiled in her forays into HK. there's always distrust, but ultimately deep seated admiration (i say so much for this direction of the debate, i wonder if hkers share my platitudinal love all mindset)

a building doesnt have to be very different and full of creative ideas to be beautiful. i think one raffles quay, at the very least, looks rather pretty. it wouldnt make singapore any more 'exciting', but it certainly doesnt foil the skyline.

How come his face looks so elongated thou?

I am ok with the building too, even thou it dosent exactly excite. We need a mix of boring and interesting architecture for the yin yang balance anyway.

indeed...

I've said it before and I'll say it again. This building is simple, but I think its key feature is the simple fact that it is angled against the street grid, as if to welcome people into the new downtown

Go baby!
