why the hell would you build vertical on such a sprawling parcel of land? I never been a fan of this style of architecture but having it on this much land with trees busting out of some of the buildings is a huge double strike from an urban standpoint imo....

I don't think it's so sprawling. Most of the buildings projected in that area are still missing so it might look empty now, but it won't when it all is finished.

Anyway, the cool thing about this project is supposed to be the combination between the traditional orchards and urbanization, so at some spots it'll necessarily have to be tall towers + emptiness.
