Someone who lives in the UAE should go to EC, I am sure it is totally abandoned. Each developer of course claims, that this is due to investors not paying their installments, where we all know, that the developers have realized before everyone else, that the project had no future due to the lack of demand, and the lack of basic utilities. Most projects stopped around mid 2008 and only very few kept building a floor or two once every 2 months. From what I last saw there, EC is a ghost town of core buildings, just walls and concrete.
Can someone pass by and confirm this?

Short term they might be laughing, long term we can laugh it up cause they had a chance to be some thing more than another Bangladesh.

I pass by regularly. There are a handful of people on site, but really just a token gesture. To be honest it is better left as a shell rather than move people into it and it to turn into The Gorbals.

Hi, Anybody knows about ARRA's announcment on their web site to meet them in 30days.
Please check and confirm.

Important announcement

Ajman Real Estate Regulatory Agency ARRA called investors and buyers in Green City to present at ARRA’s offices within thirty days. This came in an announcement published in the local newspapers. In the announcement published in Arabic and English, ARRA urged the investors and buyers to bring their supporting documents when they come.

THE ONLY WAY THEY WILL EVER RESTORE CUSTOMER CONFIDENCE IS
if they agree to swap like for like and give us something for what we have paid already e.g. if 5 people have paid 150K AED each, then the honest developer would offer them a 1/5th ownership in a ready to move in apartment which has a market value of around 750K AED, less any admin fees etc. and come to an agreement with the government with regards to the land etc for the developments that will never happen.

Anything else falls short of the mark for us.

How about it? Any honest developers out there?

What about the UAE Government? Does the UAE government not realise that the only way of restoring customer confidence is to back up a scheme like the above? Small price to pay in the bigger scheme of things.

'Cmon mate. Why do they need to restore confidence? They have your money! In what parallel universe will Ajman ever get overseas people to invest in property again?

EC from space in January 2012

This digital globe image from space clearly shows, that there is nothing in row A, and not much in general in EC

We need to Fight them

It has been over two years past the hand over date on most of the towers and some even over four years in EC.We as investors are down to two choices in my opinion.
1-To forget everything as a lose and walk away.
2-To get united and fight this injustice in a courtroom.
To achieve this goal we need to pick 3 or 4 members who are going to be in uae for at least two more years as our representatives and have them in cooperation with a law firm to open a bank account as an escrow account for EC legal fund.Every investor of any tower will donate some money to this account.Based on the total amount then the law firm will start the process of first demanding refund and if that fails then filing cases. Most of the developers still have lot of money and if not they have personal assets in uae or their home countries.God willing in less than two years every one will get their money back.92 towers with at least 400 units in each we are talking about a lot of poor investors stuck in this scam by Rholding. So lets get them

just google rrr Ajman and your'll soon realize where your money has gone. The young prince has a real "love" for driving Orange and Black cars around Europe, instead of staying home and taking care business.

Are you a Chapal World Investor? Join an Action Group.

Have you invested in any of the Chapal World Properties in either Ajman or Dubai? These are: Chapal The Presidency, Chapal The Harmony, Chapal The Glory, Chapal The Legacy, Chapal Corals, Chapal Dunes, Chapal Signature, Chapal Tropicals, Chapal Flora Residences, Emirates Lake Towers and Chapal Emirates Points.

I am looking to identify as many Chapal Word investors as possible with a view to setting up an Action Group to try and get the Government to take notice and some action with a view to recovering investor’s hard earned money. Options will also include group court action and/or supporting and informing those who are going down this route alone. I am a Chapal Investor myself and I am just about to commence court action but even getting to this point has been a journey of discovery and frustration.

The Action Group will also be a means of support and communication for investors. I will consider setting up a website if enough interest but first I need to gauge whether I can identify enough engaged and active Chapal investors to make this worthwhile and effective.

Please email your details to ChapalWorldActionGroup@Hotmail.co.uk providing information on what property you have invested in and how much you have invested. Please provide brief details of any action you have taken and what the outcome was. I may use some of this information in the website if it will help others. Also personal details will be kept strictly confidential.

Also if you are in contact with other Chapal Investors – please pass on this message and ask them to email. You can also support by posting this thread in any other forum/website associated to Chapal.
