Mexico City needs more towers of that size, for the size of it's economy (13th or 14th largest) and the size of the city ...DF should look at least like Hong Kong or Chicago.

I agree with you. Actually Mexico is the 11th largest economy in the world, and Mexico City alone would be the 30th largest. But the problem in Mexico City are the earthquakes. It has 5 volcanoes in a radio of 100 kilometers, one of them is one of the world's most active volcanoes. It is also located near the intersection of the seismic Pacific plate with the Cocos plate, making the place one of the most seismic of such a seismic zone. So it would be very expensive to armor every building against earthquakes, that's why the city doesn't have that impressive skyline it should.

The city is not as seismic as Tokyo, but the earthquakes here are stronger, not as Tokyo's often weak earthquakes.

The Torre Mayor is amazing in design and it would have been amazing if it was about 50 metres taller. I really believe I should chose that over the US Bank Tower. It's about time a new landmark dominated the LA skyline.

MMMMMMMM, Torre Mayor is in México City not in LA, unless that by L.A, you mean Latin America, because Torre Mayor is the tallest building in Latin America right now 225.4 mts 59 floors.

Not only Mexico City is on a mayor earthquake zone, but also i'ts a dried lake! The soil is so soft that old heavy buildindings like the cathedral and the opera house are sinking...

TORRE MAYOR for logic reasons, is the taller building in LatinAmerica, and Mexico City its the most sismical zone in all whole world (the city was built on a big lake) Mexico City its a better city than LA in all senses!

And Torre Mayor seems taller, but Actually in Mexico they're building the taller tower in LatinAmerica in the city of Guadalajara , it will be the 10th taller tower in world, taller than torre Mayor, taller than US BAnk Tower.

Torre Mayor could have a better color, but it still looks nicer than the US Bank, which is an ordinary hirise

I like Torre Mayor, but I will vote for the US Bank Tower (Library Tower)... One of my favorite buildings that came out from the 80's.

P.s. Although I don't know why the poll was closed anyway. I can't vote there.
