the article mentions concrete pumped to 600m, seems to be approx height of roof. also the 124th floor is about 470m? up. thats going to be an amAzing view. 500m straight down and looking up 300m to spire above. Im sure it will be highest ob deck in world? the 10 levl observation crown atop SWFC is approx 450-480m high. The only thing i can think of that will be close to 500m ob deck will be the Solar Tower scheduled to start 2007 in outback NSW,Australia. It was to be 1000m but now will rise 500m and have a observvation deck which will encircle the towers rim . A lift attached to a track will rise up the chimney with views as far as you can see. nothing like Dubai but mostly sheep paddocks.lol
For those who want to keep tabs on Burj Dubais height. its basically 3.8m per floor. thus lev50 x 3.8m= 190m. there abouts.
the article says BurjD rises a floor eveyr 4days, thus approx 170 days left for 2006 or 42 more floors to add so lev92 by NYE? or 350m!
thus milestones-
lev40=152m/500ft (became a skyscraper)
lev50=190m-June 20/06 Solistice.
lev60=228m
lev70=266m
lev80=304m or 1000ft!
lev92=350m -NYE 2007.(will be highest bldg in Dubai ,or as high as Emerates tower spire).
lev100=380m
lev110=418m
lev120=456m
lev130=494m
lev134=509m (becomes tallest bldg in world surpassing taipei101)- june 2007?
lev140=532m
lev146=555m-(becomes tallest free standing structure surpassing 553m CN Tower)

lev160=608m (2000ft) -oct 2007?
161 + PLANT=625m roof
200m spire is added to becomes tallest man-made structure surpassing 628m /KVLY mast in Blanchard,USA.

i scaled this pic as if it was 800m and then counted to 50 floors and it equates to the 5th lowest tier at 190m. spot on. it even measures correctly at 90m wide at widest point. so its pretty close as accuracy goes.

so level 108 the highest residence / penthouse in the world ~ 410m.

yeah about 400m. you might notice the levels below each pier are larger then normal floors. these are plant etc or 5m high so lev108 maybe be approx 400m or so.talk about lying at top of the world.

Is it me or does the building seem to be tilting in the last photo?

In the last thread i read that they need 4 days to build a floor but the floorspace decrease in the height so they will need less time the higher they get to construct a floor.Or not?

In the last thread some were saying 4 days , some were saying a week.
4 days per floor seems right to me.

Great progress being all made from concrete until the upper part of the tower.
