Oh, you're just here to have digs at other forumers today. Is that how you usually are?

Anyway, it's hard to get scale of the darn thing, due to there being nothing next to it (a la SWFC & Jin Mao) to give it scale. Yes, you can tell it's a tall bastard but just a little hard to compare.

I count 50 1/2 floors in that pic. Since that pic is old, I am guessing currently they must be close to finishing the 52nd floor.

Yes, starting to look. Up until now it has looked rather fat and stumpy.

Show of hands... I dunno about you's but I think this building would look better in the States...definetly a nice touch to the Chicago Skyline. But, really now is a building of this magnitude necessary? It is really economically worth building such a massive structure...in a desert? I have to ask... or maybe it's just because I'm totally jelious with Dubi.

Think you are jealous. Dubai are building a great future for themselves, Vegas is built in a desert and it has built up too...

Nope.
But are the pyramids necessary? Are massive cathedrals with loads of decoration and huge spires necessary?

I think you'd have to count double-height floors as 2 floors since they're not double height over the entire floor plate - just certain areas.
