Yeah, the Del Amo fashion center--where Jackie Brown fooled the ATF and got away with some sweet cash.

where's Mall of Asia? Why's it not on the list? AFAIK, MoA has 386,223.90 sq.m (4.15 million sq. ft.) gross floor area... 284,124.55 sq.m leasable area (3.06 million sq. ft.).... this data, i think, was before changes were made and it was finished, so there is a possibility that figures would be a bit larger, since i've heard of additional adjustments....

actually the 2 biggest malls in the world are both U/C in Dubai.
MAll of Arabia at the momnet is 750 000m2 GLA with Dubai Mall comming in at 650 000m2 GLA.
Both have room for expansionlike the Mall of the Emirates 240 000m2 GLA which is less than a year old and is expanding with another hotel and more line shops.
An article in the paper yesterday here in Dubai noted that 3 of the 5 biggest malls in the world will be in Dubai by 2010

SEA malls have been ignored! Four or five might've made it to the list (Mall of Asia, Siam Paragon, SM Megamall, Glorietta and Berjaya Times Square, I guess)

I don't like too big of malls because it reminds me of how cheap the land/labor/material is.

IMHO

Malls with more than three shopping floors don't count, simply because tall malls SUCK!

I don't understand why people want to shop at malls so much- they're so bland and boring, although they are becoming increasingly extravagant as these pictures suggest.

Because that is where you get stuff... In some places its probably the only place to buy a specific item.
