ศูนย์ข่าวศรีราชา - เซ็นทรัลฯ เตรียมทุ่มงบจัดงาน Madigras Pattaya International ขบวนพาเหรดไฟ แสง สี เสียง ตระการตา ฉลองการเปิดตัวห้างยักษ์กลางเมืองพัทยา 15 มกราคม 52

วันนี้ (10 ต.ค.) ที่ศาลาว่าการเมืองพัทยา นายอิทธิพล คุณปลื้ม นายกเมืองพัทยา เข้าร่วมรับฟังการนำเสนอรูปแบบการจัดงานเทศกาลขบวนพาเหรดแสง สี เสียง “Madigras Pattaya Interna tional” จากคณะผู้บริหาร บ.เซ็นทรัล พัฒนา ซึ่งกำหนดจัดงานดังกล่าวขึ้นเพื่อเป็นการเฉลิมฉลองเทศกาลปีใหม่ ส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยว และเป็นกิจกรรมหลักในการเปิดตัว “ห้างสรรพสินค้าเซ็นทรัล เฟสติวัล พัทยา บีช” ริมถนนสายชายหาดพัทยา ในวันที่ 15 มกราคม 2552

ดร.ณัฐกิตติ์ ตั้งพูลสินธนา ผู้ช่วยกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ บ.เซ็นทรัล พัฒนา จำกัด เปิดเผยว่าจากการที่ทางบริษัทฯ ได้ทุ่มงบประมาณจำนวนกว่า 7,000 ล้านบาท ในการก่อสร้างห้างสรรพสินค้าเซ็นทรัล เฟสติวัล พัทยาบีช” ซึ่งเป็นห้างสรรพสินค้าขนาดใหญ่ และโรงแรมระดับ 5 ดาว ริมชายหาดพัทยา โดยมีกำหนดการเปิดตัวในวันที่ 15 มกราคมปีหน้านี้

ดังนั้น เพื่อเป็นการเปิดตัว อย่างยิ่งใหญ่ และถือโอกาสในการร่วมจัดกิจกรรมส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวให้กับเมืองพัทยาในช่วงเทศกาลปีใหม่ จึงมีแนวคิดในการจัดกิจกรรมขบวนพาเหรดในงาน “Madigras Pattaya International” ขึ้น

กิจกรรมดังกล่าวจะได้จัดให้มีการจัดขบวนพาเหรดแฟนตาซีในระบบแสง สี เสียง หรือ Electric Parade มาจัดแสดงโชว์ไปตามถนนสายชายหาดเมืองพัทยา ซึ่งจะมีความสวยงาม และตื่นตาตื่นใจ ด้วยขบวนรถประดับตกแต่งไฟที่หลากหลาย ทั้ง ขบวนชายหาด กีฬา อาหาร โฟมปาร์ตี้ กิจกรรมภาคกลางคืน ขบวนคาบาร์เร และสัตว์ใต้ทะเล รวมทั้งการตกแต่งชายหาดที่ประ ดับ ประดาไปด้วยศิลปะปูนปั้นสัตว์ใต้ทะเลที่สวยงาม หอประภาคาร การแสดงดนตรีจากศิลปินชื่อดัง และกิจกรรมรื่นเริงตลอดแนวชายหาด โดยจะเริ่มงานตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 มกราคมถึง 1 มีนาคม 2552 ส่วนขบวนพาเหรดจะเริ่มในวันที่ 15 มกราคม ซึ่งตรงกับวันเปิดตัวของห้างสรรพสินค้าเซ็นทรัลเฟสติวัล พัทยาบีช

ทั้งนี้ หากงานดังกล่าวได้รับความสนใจเป็นอย่างดีก็จะมีการสนับสนุนให้จัดเป็นกิจกรรมต่อเนื่อง เพื่อส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวให้กับเมืองพัทยาเป็นประจำทุกปี

สำหรับศูนย์การค้าเซ็นทรัล เฟสติวัล พัทยา บีช มีพื้นที่การค้ากว่า 210,000 ตารางเมตร ประกอบด้วย ศูนย์การค้าที่เป็นศูนย์รวมร้านค้าชั้นนำกว่า 200 ร้านค้า ร้านอาหารอิตาลี ชื่อดัง พร้อมร้านแฟชั่นแบรนด์เนมระดับโลก รวมถึงโรงแรมระดับ 5 ดาว และที่จอดรถกว่า 2,000 คัน พร้อมทั้งมีศูนย์บริการต่างๆ เช่น ศูนย์รวมไอที ศูนย์รวมกิจกรรมเพื่อความบันเทิง ศูนย์ข้อมูลท่อง เที่ยว ฟิตเนส และสปา ไนท์มาร์เก็ต

Local Toys 'R' Us outlets maintaining growth despite world economic woes

Despite the global economic slowdown, Toys "R" Us Thailand has been able to maintain double-digit growth, says Manit Lertsakornsiri, country manager of Toys Retailing (Thailand).

The company is the operator of Toys "R" Us outlets in the Kingdom.

"This is because we offer the right product mix to the market, and market response from 120,000 Toys 'R' Us members has been very positive," he said.


The company's two new branches - in The Esplanade in Bangkok and in Hua Hin Market Village - have helped generate sales growth.


Next year, another outlet will open in Central Festival Pattaya.


New products are also planned, with an emphasis on the Toy Book product range.


"Consumer communication will be made through an appropriate media mix, including product demonstration to reinforce Toys 'R' Us's product benefits and values. Corporate development and supply-chain improvement will be ongoing and aimed at increasing efficiency while reducing managerial costs. All of these factors combined with our strategic marketing have resulted in the continuous growth of Toys 'R' Us in the Thai market, an outstanding one compared with markets elsewhere," he said.


Meanwhile, Manit's company will join with Siam Retail Development, operator of Fashion Island, to organise a "Toy World" fair from January 9-18 at Fashion Island, in honour of Children's Day on January 10.


Manit said the objectives were to celebrate Children's Day, allow children to see exciting toys from around the world and entertain the whole family. Highlights will be a first-of-its-kind exhibition of toys from Thai toy collectors. Each one on display will be up to 30 years old.


Siam Retail Development executive director Prasert Sriuranpong said Fashion Island had allocated more than 1,000 square meters for the event near the first floor's fountain. The fair will be true family entertainment, a time for gaining enjoyable toy knowledge and for shopping for toys at special prices.


And for Island Card Holders, an exclusive, non-purchasable giraffe doll valued at 395 baht will be offered for free with every Bt1,500 purchase of Toys "R" Us products.

ผู้สื่อข่าวรายงานว่า เมื่อเวลาประมาณ 21.30 น.ที่ผ่านมา (30 ธ.ค.) เกิดเหตุเพลิงไหม้ห้างสรรพสินค้าเซ็นทรัลเฟสติวัลบิ๊กซี ถนนพัทยาเหนือ หมู่ที่ 5 ต.นาเกลือ อ.บางละมุง จ.พัทยา ต้นเพลิงเกิดจากไฟฟ้าลัดวงจรฝ้าเพดานในร้านจำหน่ายรองเท้า ชั้น 1 เจ้าหน้าที่ต้องใช้พัดลมขนาดใหญ่หลายตัวดูดควันออกมาพร้อมอพยพลูกค้า-ประชาชนจำนวนมากประมาณกว่า 1,000 คน ออกมาจากจุดเกิดเหตุ



นายอิทธิพล คุณปลื้ม นายกเทศมนตรีเมืองพัทยา กล่าวว่า ขณะนี้เจ้าหน้าที่สามารถควบคุมเพลิงได้แล้ว ไม่พบผู้บาดเจ็บหรือเสียชีวิต แต่ต้องปิดการจราจรบริเวณถนนพัทยา สาย 2 อย่างไรก็ตาม ไม่มีผลต่อการจัดงานเคาท์ดาวน์ส่งท้ายปีเก่าต้อนรับปีใหม่ วันพรุ่งนี้ เนื่องจากงานดังกล่าวจัดอยู่บริเวณท่าเทียบเรือพัทยาใต้

Central Festival is a new shopping complex on the block between Beach Road, Second Road and sois 9 and 10. It is located between Soi 9 and the View Talay condo development. It is a large construction and it will be interesting if there are enough shoppers to support it and the other shopping developments in Pattaya.


For Thai standards the construction has been quick. It is due to be opened on the 23rd of January but they have a lot of work to do before then. To celebrate the opening a mardi gras will be held at the the development.
