Buffalo's easily. Its the city's best, and only good looking building. Toronto's (and the square in front) is just too dirty, dull, plain and boring. And the bruildings itself are surrounded by more of the same boring buildings. And the square is bordered by more dull concrete to prevent people from getting in and out without the fear of birdshit dropping on you.

Actually, Toronto's City Hall neighbours Toronto's old City Hall. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't call it "dull" and "concrete".

saying TO city hall would belong in Brasilia shows a very unrefined understanding of modernism, as Brasilia is not known for its individual structures, but more its "machine for living" ethos...which a well functioning urban square in the middle of Toronto doesnt quite compare to

Buffalo's City Hall is an old outdated building which is way too big for the City, now
Half of the building is vacant now ! half the population has left Buffalo & Erie County
since 1950, & because of the terrible ecomomy in Western NY, population continues
to decrease in large numbers,
Now Toronto City Hall is a very nice modern building & in wonderful city & growing city

Buffalo wins hands down, now if you compare the old Toronto city hall i think Toronto would win.

Ahh your famous line. Did it ever occur to you that maybe Im just a new member to the forum? The forum doesnt revolve around Toronto. One bad comment and its automatically a fake account or a troll against toronto. If I restated the same old line "blah blag fake accoutn blah blah troll" to every new member, then Id have 1000 posts too.
Since you've made it extremely clear for your dislike of cityvscity threads, and since you feel this is headed right there, how about saying out of it? You might be able to sleep better.

It is possibly him, but there is an American guy who lived in Australia for a bit and is now travelling in Europe who is fond of making profiles to dump on Toronto. If we had to pay $10 for the privilege of joining SSC I think you would find the number of trolling profiles would plummet.

I think that Buffalo's city hall is fabulous. Would love to have it in Toronto, but not as city hall. I had to look at this from a purpose standpoint, and as a useful city hall, Toronto's shines. It is a civic monument. The Towers hug the council chambers, it is strong but open. The form of the eye from above, very powerful messaging to those inside and outside of government. And NPS as a front yard...the archer...reflection pool...fountains...rink...arches...

To me, this is the single most important building in Toronto.
