Just advertising I guess. I think it's lame that the maps are too small to even see, but whatever.

I don´t want to disturb you, Alargule, my apologies in advance... but you wrote some kind of contradictory sentences.

and why do you let people pay for your maps? If this is your business, you shouldn't be hanging out carrots on this forum each time acting as though your maps are for all to see...
Seems that a little amount of money is the main problem... you are wrong: you can view maps for free - http://www.cityrailtransit.com/free_acces_codes.htm

Apologies accepted. Now please to accept mine, but one can change his/her opinion over the years, right? There are better quality alternatives today, that don't necessitate the jagged edges that still feature your maps.

'A little amount of money' is no problem. The fact that you post your maps here in a very tiny format and then expect people to pay for those maps is. That's advertising/soliciting, and that's not something I'm very fond of/looking for when surfing the internet, wanting to see the maps others have created and showing them the ones I made. For free.
And no: I'm not getting any friggin' 'free' access codes, if your links first send me through to some fishy website that requires me to register first.

LOL, wow! 300 ad clicks and then you receive the access code to see your tube maps? After infecting my computer 10 times over with crap and spyware, I wonder if I even will get to see the maps. I doubt anyone here is stupid enough enough urgel...as if your maps are good enough to go through all that trouble, if they are even your maps.

...same to me: this is not my business, this is my hobby. But the fact is that hobbies are not for free - you spend your time and your money. However, visitors can view "jagged edges" maps for free (and I do not consider them "stupid enough").

That's what I use, but I figured I'd name some big name products that people would be familiar with.

Now I know what tourists must feel when they look at our tube maps etc. I'm looking at the Tokyo tube map and I'm lost. That thing is so enormously difficult to make heads or tails of!

Copenhagen's Automated Metro: (the ring line has just started construction)

Copenhagen's S-tog system (kind of like Bart, seperated from all other traffic):
