I was in Dubai with my wife this summer. It was scorching hot as there was a heatwave at the time, however, I did have time to explore the metro system!

Here is one video of the red line that I took from UAE Exchange to BurJuman. It shows off the development along the metro line as well.

Finally, my first station tour at Al Fahidi metro station on the green line.

Hope this is of interest!

My husband is planning to rent a condo in Burj Khalifa and I am very much excited to stay there. My man works in the financial centre and so it will easier for him to travel to the office. I think I will have to take the Dubai metro. I operate a store in a shopping mall in Deira for transport. Alternatively, if by car I will have to drive along the Sheikh Zayed road.
Which would be easier and faster for me to reach Deira?
Suggestions?

I'm curious what is the ridership in Dubai metro. All pics look prette desertous... (sic!).
Do people ride metro there, or it's just a toy that goes empty through the desert?

I taken it several times when I have visited Dubai and it has been extremely crowded. I think there might be a few stations on the fringe of the network that get relatively fewer boardings but most of the stations along Sheik Zaiyed Road (where a lot of the offices and shopping centers are located) are very busy.
