So far as your comments about them being humans and pakistanis....Aren't people dislodged for dams, roads, etc not humans? or less of a pakistani? So, should we also stop buildings these things too?

Agreed with both of u!
The area in the back of the tower (Kot Lakhpat) is spread on a vast area and i m sure if the government decides to demolish this slummy area, the residents of this area will protest on a large scale like they did with Ravi National park. I think the area will look more beautiful if they remove these giant electric poles and once the BRTS project is completed. Last edited by OmI92; July 25th, 2012 at 01:50 PM. |

making a hygienic living environment for the people is better than letting them live in unhygienic slums..after all every one wants to improve their lives nobody wants to live in a slum forever just cause they own the land...when investers spend million of purchasing dirt land they could just give some money to the famiiles to move somewhere better

Whats the height of this building, I don't think so that its 106 meters or 348 feet as its just 17 floors. and on urbanpk and defence.pk sites its height is mentioned as 200 feet which is around 61 meters.

61 meters is not possible. It has 17 floors and if we count the average floor to floor height then it should be something like 5.5 meters plus there is a structure at the top of the building. So 106 meters seems realistic.

Why is the CM inaugurating this Innovation Center? He needs to focus on the bigger things than freakin waste time and tax payer money on these inaugurations. doh:

Because it improves relationship between Govt & Microsoft - M$ is already offering big discounts to Govt and partner of IT Labs projects all around Punjab. If it costs a small exposure and inauguration - it still is pretty good deal. Be rational - besides he's better than any of other CMs anyway.
