trump planned a 50-storey tower in stuttgart, germany:

http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=101967

and this 97-storey proposal from frankfurt would have been even taller, than trump in chicago:

What's wrong with the Trump Tower Tampa?

Also, Ft. Lauderdale, FL has a Trump tower.

I find it to be boring, the color is wrong, the architecture is un-interesting and forgettable, and it's ugly. (though I understand "ugly" is subjective)

It seems that the only awe-inspiring, architecturally forward thinking building under construction in the U.S. right now is the Trump Tower Chicago, and hopefully the Fordham Spire soon.

Basically, I just think architecture in the U.S. is too conservative and "safe". It seems like practically no one is trying to build something that reflects the era we live in, or maybe even something that looks ahead a little.

I don't think I'm demanding something too un-reasonable either--I'm not demanding that we build our own 2000+ foot super scraper (though that would be cool), just that we innovate a little. The Trump tower in Dubai is a great example that even shorter buildings can be amazing pieces of work.

Imagine it's the year 2800. Tourists are looking at well-preserved but abandoned buildings of cities built in the modern age and trying to study what kind of buildings the humans back then built in which eras.

Person A: Wow, there's a big one. I think that's supposed to be the ESB, built around 1930 or 1940. Hmm, and here's some newer ones, built around 1970 and 1980.

Persona B: No, actually, those were built in 2025.

Persona A: ...Oh snap! Those buggers were really behind the times eh?

Could Trump build anywhere and make it work?

Is there anyone else in the world that does projects all over the world like him?

Has anyone checked out the Daewoo Trump buildings in Korea? haha, its on Trump.com, i dont know why he is even considering those...

Also I would like to point out that it is a slap in the face to Argentina that he picked Panama over Buenos Aires for his first project in South America.. I love it!

Trump Intl Hotel and Tower on Palm Jumeirah in Dubai is going to be managed by Dubai Holding's Hotel brand Jumeirah, which also manages Burj Al Arab for example.
