An interesting effect when viewed from a distance, the floors that are not clad are barely visable, making the concrete core appear to be much taller.

June 18 - forms coming down

Formwork being disassembled - a worker told me that ( as of the 18th ) they had one more floor to go on the core, which is where the forms are now (then).

A real surprise outside of my window, I thought this had been delivered and installed a month ago.

Turns out that was just a check for sizing, it has been stored in Wisconsin since then.

It is a big screen/chain that catches big stuff at the water intake for the cooling system, which uses river water to cool the stacks.

Has this tower got the smallest core size in Chicago or even the world? its like only 1 elevator can fit in there.
