A great Chicago box, one of my favorites. I also like what they did with the riverfront, definitely beautifies it a bit. I'm looking forward to seeing this and many other projects when I go to Chicago. Great pictures, too, everyone.

I usually hate boxy, plain buildings but this one fits with the area so well in a distinct way that it is almost as good as a cutting edge design.

Why hasn't the top of the building been finished? It just seems that it's taking forever.

Supreme!!!
Great detail.

Just wish that the walkway along the river was all one (with other buildings) and made into a smooth long urban path.

That faux brickwork is pretty horrendous... it just boggles my mind why they couldn't mimic the other side of the river and maintain some type of consistency.

No. They're about to start the demolition. Construction of the real building should start soon though.

I'm not aware of any plans for this along the N bank, some serious challenges there, but they are working full speed on doing just that on the south bank.

Somtimes with unexpected issues
Many photos

It is also just around the bend that work on these same type of pilings flooded the loop back in the 90s - pilings to protect the bridge for the RR tracks that run along the West side of this building.
