I guess in two years' time everything will have changed and these problems will be a thing of the past...
Anyway, great photos. Thanks!

the river on the left hand side is the Yangtse river.. or the Yellow river.. if im not mistaken.. so the colour is sposed to be like that.. it's not polluted... well probably it is a lil bit.. but if it's not, the colour will be like that anyway..

its just sediment from the flowing river almost all us rivers look like that besides creeks, and i dont think all the rivers in the us are polluted.

and those piers help make the city what it is, i think it looks good how it is and am very interested about its future

Hm, I'm not convinced, I've never seen the Yangtze live, but from the photos it seems to be sienna-colored, like here:
http://www.carto.net/neumann/travell...llow_river.jpg
or here:
http://china.metcn8.com/album/yangtze-boat.jpg
And not the color of the photo above.

I don't know about rivers in the US, here in Italy there's still a few that look a bit more like the branch on the RIGHT hand of the photo... or at least are mid way... but anyway, let's cut the cackle, I'm sure the Chinese will eventually succeed even in improving the environment.
And of course I'm interested in Chongqing future too.

That's Yellow River, thus the color. The color's due to the amount of mud in the water.

Yangtse River is different from Yellow River. Yangtse is the "Long River".

Aren't you from Los Angeles?

It looks nothing like nyc and is nothing like nyc.

Geographically it reminds me of Pittsburgh if anything from the usa.
Structurally like every single other chinese city.

Why do you think it looks like nyc? Too much BOtox has ****ed with your eye sight. Take a breather there cher.
