To clarify: The Miami sub forum and SSC does not tolerate personal attacks on any of our members. Furthermore, nobody should be creating a thread pertaining to any particular member or references to the personal lives of any of us. Keep threads on topic. It's a shame that every couple of months or so, I or any of the other mods have to step in and remove members over generally petty disagreements. We are all welcomed to have our own opinions and discussions here on SSC and I hope that everyone can abide by the guidelines when visiting the forum.

Looks like its run amuck again. By the way, what ever happened to the Marlins stadium thread. Its just gone; wasn't moved or locked or anything, it just ceased to exist.

We Finally Sorted out the whole Brad issue and found multiple accounts posting from the same IP. I'm terribly sorry to all loyal Miami forumers about this latest bout of insanity on the forum, it was beyond my control...

As for you newbies with great suggestions on finding new moderators, I'd appreciate it if you'd become a little more acquainted with the forum and its' members before making such claims. You'll always find that despite my infrequent posting, I am often in the background daily observing forum activity...

I think you generally do a great job at moderating, Toucano.

Today we just got a little restless because you went for nearly 10 hours without logging in. I know that you come on here to read and watch over our posts though. I don't think we need a new moderator, just please try to check on the forum a little more frequently in the future just in case something like this ever happens again.

Also, although "Mick Reynolds" was posting from a different IP than the other three accounts, this is also an account created by this same user (Barney Muldoon). I expect this person to try creating an account in the future from a different computer under a different IP.....is there anything you can do about that? If not, expect this madman to be back soon.

Edit: Thanks for the support guys, I try my best to keep the forum in top shape, forum members happy, and threads on topic...I try to give everyone a fair chance before banning them, hence why things appear to take longer than usual...

hi everyone,

i probably have posted in here less than 50 times.....yet i check in about once a day. while i am probably not even a blip on the radar...as far as you regular posters.....i love this site. i have had many wonderful replies to some of my post by the likes of roark, spellbound, etc. i have the highest regard for all of the regular posters in here...

yes, miami has lots of problems...but it is my hometown...and where i grew up. i played baseball, rooted for the dophins, saw the canes in an empty OB in the early 70s...etc.

i remember being in bayfront park in the early 70s and gazing up at one biscayne tower....for years the tallest in miami. i would go home and look up in my world almanac the tallest buildings in the usa and i would envy all the cities that had 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, and thousand footers.....dreaming that one day MY city would have one too.

my adult life and career took me away from the city that i love so much. i have been blessed to live in houston, atlanta, san antonio, san francisco...and more.

but miami will always remain the magic city to me---my magic city.

i was gone when the metrorail and metromover opened. i was gone when the miami arena opened. i was gone when joe robbie stadium opened. i was gone when metrozoo opened. i was gone when bayside opened. i was gone when miami entered the nba, nhl, and mlb. i only get to see all of these things---things i dreamed about as a little boy---when i go back for vacation.

my last 2 dreams are a downtown baseball stadium and a 1000 ft skyscraper.

to the moderators and all the regular posters, i say....skyscraper city is a place for dreamers to monitor their dreams. there is no better place for me to go to get info---hear rumours...and get the lowdown on what is going on back home than ssc

please do everything to keep the miami page up and running.....
