It has been exactly one month since we last stopped by The Daniels Corporationĺs NY2 Condos at Bayview and Sheppard. In the time that has passed since our last visit at the end of October, the changes in the 7-storey, Core Architects-designed developmentĺs outward appearance have been subtle.

As is common in the second half of a construction project, various subcontractors representing any number of trades can be found throughout the site, with much of the work being done out of view, behind a now fully-enclosed exterior.

Though the exterior now effectively seals off the interior from the elements, there is still much outdoor work to be done, including the installation of balcony glazing. In the meantime, charcoal slate bricks continue to be applied to the large protruding frames on the eastern and northern fašades, while brick installation has been completed on the identical frame section on the south fašade, as well as the porte-cochŔre located directly below.

Makes sense to me because they are the only new option in this very sought after location. Units in the building went for over $700 psf and literally flew out the door from what I gather. I'm glad about this because the proposal is perfect for the area and the retail rumor I heard has me real excited (I actually know but can't say).
