Proposing tallest skyscraper in Scandinavia

Proposing tallest skyscraper in Scandinavia
Turning Torso might not have the title as the tallest skyscraper in Scandinavia for too long. Four European architect firms from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Austria has proposed four different buildings in a new developement site in Hyllievċng in Malmĝ, two of them taller than Turning Torso, which is the current tallest building in Malmĝ, Sweden and Scandinavia.

Proposal 1)

> White Arkitekter AB from Sweden. Four towers, 90m tall with residentials, retail and a skybar.

Proposal 2)

> Coop Himmelblau from Austria. A tower, 220m tall with residentials, retail and a skybar. If approved and built, this will be the tallest skyscraper in Sweden and Scandinavia.

Proposal 3)

> Snĝhetta AS from Norway. A 200m tall tower with residentials, retail and a skybar. If approved and built, this will be the tallest skyscraper in Sweden and Scandinavia.

Proposal 4)

> CF Mĝller from Denmark. A 180m/ 53 floor tall tower with residentials, retail and a skybar.

the only ones that actually look somewhat constrctable are proposals 1 and 4, but all of them r extremely hideous, mainly proposal 3

They look OK, except the 2nd one, which looks quite tacky. Therer are too many currently unconstructable aspects in these proposals, esp #2 & #3. I like #3 though, with all its greeny "leaves".

They're all kind of weird and crazy, which could be a good thing, but unfortunately they're also kind of ugly.

Proposal 1 - the most decent 1, not that ugly or anything, but 4 identical buildings are too many;
Proposal 2 - tacky indeed; Proposal 3 - ugly;
Proposal 4 - unimaginative, and the top floors, lit up like that remind me of bloomberg tower in nyc

I don't think they'll be built. Maybe only the first one.

But I do like Turning Torso a lot and it's probably the first one that twists like that, and all the others coming after it would be more or less copies of it.

Sorry for being a bit off topic here...

All very cutting edge, avant guardish designs, but a little overdone.
Opinions: 1 looks like a Libeskind design, commonplace now, but acceptable.
2 Looks like a two headed monster that needs to be killed.
3 Like the humpback of Notre Dame.
4 OK, but should be taller to equal some of the other proposals in
square footage.
I like the innovative thinking, but need a little form and function tie in. Just my two cents.
Love to see the Swedes thinking tall!

The first one is great, but much too low. I think the 3rd one is also great, fabulous design and superb hight for Scandanivia I would choose number 3 than (or a 200 meter version of number 1)

#1 - 7/10. Not bad. Too short though. And perhaps 4 is too much.
#2 - 2/10. It is better off a tall boring box, like removing the unecessarily creative and undeniably horrid top.
#3 - 9/10. Love the environmental theme
#4 - 8/10. Looks fine, but way too thin and similar like the other one in Stockholm.

1 9/10
2 6/10 It looks like a blooming lotus. Kind of ugly but i can deal with it.
3 0/10 HORRENDOUS IS THE WORD.
4 10/10 AMAZING. I LOVE IT! my favorite out of the 4. Looks so modern. Can anyone feel that feeling? Seen those cell commercials with the signals floating in the air in front of modern art and scrapers? Beautifully designed.

Qazaq, it is Turning Torso and not Turning Tarso!
After seeing the PDFs I start to like proposal 3 more and more. It looks better from the other side (not seen in the thread).

I wish they could build all of them!
Fot those who don't know: this is the same area where the 300m+ Scandinavian Tower were supposed to be built, a skyscraper hotel that where supposed to be taller than the Eiffel Tower, but now cancelled.

In my opinion all these designs are better than Scandinavian Tower, even though they are not so high!

Proposal 2 and 3 are very daring. I like the first and still gotta make my mind up on the fourth.
