Established in 1906, the oldest and most historic extant hotel in Las Vegas, The Golden Gate.

Located at 1 Freemont street, corner of main, next to the Freemont Street Experience.

Okay, so maybe it's not one of the top hotels in town, but I like it.

Mandaly Bay Resort is actually three separate hotels.

Mandalay Bay hotel is a basic humungous Las Vegas box with thousands and thousands of rooms.

Four Seasons is located at the top of Mandalay Bay resort with around 400 rooms. So basically there are two completely separate hotels in one building, with separate porte cochere, lobby, elevators, concierge, room service and pool area.
Four Seasons porte cochere.

"THE" Hotel is a separate tower that was a later expansion, with the same type of architecture as the resort, and is connected on the ground floors to the main resort, but it is run as a separate hotel, "THE" Hotel. Yeah, I know, strange name.

Here's the 30-story atrium inside the Luxor hotel in Vegas.

They say it's the world's biggest. Does anybody know of a bigger atrium?

And sadly, yes, somebody did jump off one of those balconies.

The elevator goes up the corners at an angle and they call it an inclinator.

Looking at the very top where the corners converge.

He he I've lost quite a few bucks in there, but the place itself is worth it imo!

HONG KONG:

The Peninsula

The Four Seasons

The Mandarin Oriental

Island Shangri-La

The Intercontinental Hong Kong

Many others like Grand Hyatt, Conrad, Ritz Carlton, Mariott etc knock on the door, but don't quite get into my top 5 (Conrad probably comes closest to knocking the Intercon off)

Those 5 I think are the top 5 in Hong Kong
