I agree with K. Hitesh. I can see the logic from Central's perspective in tying up this location and building now while construction prices are lower, but I don't see where the customers will come from. Saying "lifestyle" doesn't change the fact it will be another pretty mall in an area with too any malls already. They need to start differentiating them and specialising in different things...

like I said before, I hope the anchors stores in the podium levels (under the skybridge to Central Chidlom) are fresh and new to Thailand like:

Harrods,
Galeries Lafayette,
Åhléns,
Bergdorf Goodman,
Barney's,
Neiman Marcus,
Macy's,
Sogo (like the one in Taipei not the one in Causeway Bay HK),
Harvey Nichols,
Nordstroms,
Takashimaya,
Selfridges,
Bloomingdales....

also can an ice skating/hockey rink fit in??

maybe also a Gold's Gym...even Manila has them, why cant we

or a Pure Fitness like that cool one in IFC Tower in Hong Kong...

definitely a Japanese/Korean/Taiwanese/HK manga & designer toy/robots/comics/accessories zone....

an indy/local/specialty/cult/off beat flim cinema zone?

Thai hill tribes and local crafts/products/foods exhibition area and stores in fresh presentations/designs and fusions

a Sony Metreon (or similar type) zone

yeah, but dont use Tokyo ones as good example.....(I think they might be below par franchises)...even the Gold's in Manila (Glorietta Mall) are better than those in Japan IMO....

yes, True Fitness in Central World Zen is great, but location is kinda inconvenient....this location would be fantastic

Which is why I think they the Siam market area should be saved and more individual enterprises encouraged + the night bazar to be relocated near the klon san sep where the old BKK bazar used to be and is curently being demolished, back end of Manhattan Chidlom and the electricity board
