Wonderful photos guys. Let's always try to label and give a short description for every photo posted so that our foreign guests would be guided on what we are posting and no one could say that posting all these is just to pull the post counts.

wow, Manila is booming and surprising. Every time I saw new pictures I find something new. Just a Question, are there some remaining buildings of the Spanish colonial period in the city, as we have in Latin America.

I'll show you some more. The previous page already had pictures of San Agustin, Plaza Moriones, Fort Santiago, Calle Real, Estatua de Reina Isabela, and Jardin de Padre Blanco which all dated back to the Spanish colonial era. Manila Cathedral and Palacio del Gobernador were reconstructed after being destroyed in WWII.

Hope you enjoyed your visit here There's another town north of Manila that's more flawless when it comes to Spanish colonial architecture. It's name is Vigan.

Here are pics of modern Manila

The region's native language is called Tagalog. It is also the same as the national language which is called "Filipino". In the Philippines, certain regions have its own native languages [around 100 languages]. The common link between those languages is that it borrowed heavily from the Castillian [Spanish] language. Most educated people speaks English, while the general population has a knowledge of it but not fluently. I hope that helps.

Wow! It's really world of wonders! How I wish that one day i could see your country. It seems that I'm going to have fun with all these lights glittering at night and with the friendly people hanging outside, for sure it would be a great fun. Leestat from Vladivostok.

Manila!

Manila's name always gives me the tickle to fly right away in this southeast asian city.

Based on what I read, people from there are English speakers and they are like westerners when it comes to thinking and fun.

I just wish that my housemaid was a Filipina.
