Maybe they are diffrent. but if you look at your first pic it feels like its supposed to be on this plot. And my first pic and your first pic have a very similair design maybe yours is an updated one that they are actually building?

I really dont know, but i would like to know! If its two diffrent projects that means there is going to be 2 more nice buildings in GZ

I dunno. Who knows, constructing a nice biggie with his little son next to it is traditional in Guangzhou anyway

I am not sure but the addres for Asia Pacific Century Plaza is Tianhe Road North / Linhe Road Central, Tianhe. Which means that it indeed is next to CITIC. Your second pic, well either its a very similair project OR the people that made that pic just "put" that building there because they thought it looked good, maybe its the same design company??

Yeah, I think you're right. The three designs are amazing, what a pitty they'll only build one of them.

Guangzhou is the captial city of Guangdong province,
just approx 200km north west of Hongkong and far from Shanghai,
she is alway the most important city in South China,
even HK can never challange her status.

She is the largest city in southen half and is the second important economy (in terms of city), the 1st one is Shanghai.

She is very old but getting the chance of 2010 Asian Games to promote her international "brandname",
just like Seoul in 1986 Asian Games and 1988 Olympic.

Ten years ago, it took me 2 hours to get to the Export trade show from the White Swan Hotel. Now a new trade show center is already in used, and the truffic jam is gone. If someone told me this will happen ten years ago, I would
say : is impossible.

I agree with Johan - that last tower would be a world-class design at 50-70 floors. That's not to say it doesn't look good as is, it would just be that much better if it was.

What's the construction status on the Twin Towers? It seems like they've been proposed for about a year now.

They are UC, and have been for quite some time now. There is a thread somewhere
