Ooh, nice tower!!!

At the bottom of my post is a very-high-resolution (1145x3777) image showing main lobby, sky lobby, office floors (4 zones), mechanical floors, "fašade", and ceiling heights. The floors are not drawn to scale though (the floors with ceilings at 2.9 m have the same amount of pixels as the floors with ceilings at 3.9 m), so it cannot be used as an elevation plan.

Floor count: 2 main lobby floors, 2 sky lobby floors, 5 mechanical floors, 59 office floors, and 2 floors on top of everything as the "fašade". So 70 floors total (not counting basement floors -- not shown in this image). Also note that the floor that has the main entrance is called "ground floor" and the floor above that "floor 1" (similar to the way floors are named in many European countries), so floor 67 is what people in the US would call floor 68. This information is based on the "marketing PDF" (which states that the main lobby is on floors "G and 1" and the sky lobby is on floors 37 and 38) on the official website.

Also according to the PDF on the official website, there will be 36 lifts/elevators:
- 28 high speed passenger lifts for 4 office zones.
- 6 high speed shuttle lifts between main and sky lobbies.
- 2 service lifts.

I based most of my information on what is available on the official site, but maybe I interpreted one thing wrong: The "fašade". It might be that there are 68 floors above ground (called "ground floor" and "floor 1" through "floor 67") and that the additional 2 floors of the total 70 mentioned are below ground (basement floors)?

and yah too bad we can't see it from TST... North Point will prolly block the whole thing :-(

Surely Hong Kong big 4 is ICC, IFC, Central Plaza, BoC?

Unless you're going by 'roof' height in which case it's still ICC, IFC, Nina Tower, Central Plaza?

I never realised its size - it looks almost as huge in comparison with the other giants.

Not really.

It's crap in that it's not part of the main skyline, but Island East is quite a nice location, being an entertainment area all on its' own ~ it's got lots of restaurants and a growing number of bars, Cityplaza as a main shopping mall (with a cinema) along with Jusco, and isn't all that far from Central, and is very well connected by the MTR, ferries, mini buses and buses.
