Yes, it is, not Kowloon as Mosaic posted.

BTW Thanks SanMiguel for the map and aerials you posted on page 3 of this thread, showing where the One Island East site is located

Looking forward to up-to-date construction pics in this thread for this great scraper project!

Correction: Apologies, I just passed the building site today. It looks like 7-8 floors due to the 'hole in the ground' from a-top, but passing it at ground level, it's actually only 4 or so floors off the ground.

That picture is not of Hong Kong.

For one, HK has developed roads. Two, you would never find an area with such low density.

Very sleek looking tower, sort of like a little brother of ICC. And the location isn't so bad either, not part of the main focal point in HK island's skyline (Sheung Wan, Central, Admiralty, Wanchai, Causeway Bay) but at over 300m's tall it should a lot taller than anything else in Quarry Bay and should extend what people's perspectives are on HK island's skyline. Overall, great addition for HK island's part of the skyline.

Seems to me that Hong Kong is putting more landmark skyscrapers in other less important districts such as Taikoo, Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and TST.
