I guess the policy changed because of too many complaints from people. Also there are many documents about real estate published recently. It is said that these policies are good for ordinary local residents, instead of foreign investors.

As you know, North Bund Tower has been finally started. In addition, there are four other towers recently started in that area. This is one of them, at left:

People who would like to change small and clean houses for anonymous and dirty apartments in tall blocks are nothing else than idiots.
I also lived in such a small house in Qingdao, where people knew each other much better, than in big ones, where they lived before. Very good quality and very comfortable, much better than American "wooden" standard.
Insecure??? Do you really think that Chinese must be thiefs and criminals? Or you mean foreigner in China are tiefs?
Silly girl, I live in Germany in an old house from 1892. No need to tell me about the advantages of small appartment houses in comparison to huge blocks. If your comprehension of English is insufficient, please use a dictionary next time before you answer. Nobody is calling anybody a thief. Anna Maria? Are you Chinese? Do you see what I mean when I say insecurity?

wow Thames Town seems very very impressive!!! I'm very surprised that something that monumental has such little publicity. This is the first time I read about it! Are there any subways or public rapid transit that links it to downtown? You would expect something like this to be a very touristy area especially for foreigners

I hate those western style buildings like the ones in Luodian New town or thames town. They should built traditional Chinese towns not western! China is a country of 5000yrs and we have different style of architecture from different dynasty that alone is enough for choices and variety.

I'm sorry but they look very artificial and disneylandish.

^For some reason, I like the replica one! They look new, clean. The old, original one probably old, gritty, dingy and could be scary. The old ones, great for museum but not to live in.

This just is western style townhouse, nothing special. But the funny thing is that the Chinese people who always live in oriental style houses, curiously want to enjoy the different things. That is why rich chinese people buy this kind of western houses, while western people love to live in chinese -style houses. Frankly, all of the two different style houses have really good sale records, except the source of customers are distinguishable.

It has been posted for many times.
I don't see any point of photoshoping and putting all the buildings in Shanghai to Pudong in one picture.
I would be more excited to see a real project instead of the deceptive show-off.
