I'd say about 20 workers again mostly on the core. I think Cahoot said the core would rise from start of October - maybe wrong,

Two containers of large polystyrene blocks being delivered this morning. Any idea what they could be for?

Most likely "void formers." A cheap way to fill in excess space below a concrete slab.

Pipes to pump concrete are being delivered!

Also the about statement on the use of polystyrene blocks is true, a cheaper alternative to the usual concrete blocks.

Busy day in meetings but managed to grab these in the evening. People on site at 6 which makes a change doubt the core will go up by Monday but who knows......

todays delivery (1230) was an external hoist, presumably to travel up the outside of the core as it goes up.....many people milling. heightened activity and no mistake.

Hi Lumberjack

Not so silly the polystyrene blocks as they have been described are proberbly to be used to form openings for services through the core walls. Polysteyrene is cheaper and easier to remove than timber shuttering. Lots of small openings can be seen already in the core

Good point, and I guess it lends itself to moulding quite complex shapes into the core too - even conduit.
