So, slightly off topic... sorry if we're covering old ground here (pardon the pun), but who will win the race to be the next tower to hit 150m? In London I presume it will be St. Georges Tower, which is travelling upwards at a rate of knots, but if there's a race in the City, who will it be? I haven't had time to check the schedules for each construction.
I take it Pinnacle has a head start, with a small core in place, but being the bigger building it might take longer to construct. Walkie-talkie is probably next best placed, with Leadenhall lagging slightly.
Is this about right? Shall we have a poll?

Slip form? from my limited knowlege of building techniques (built up entirely on this forum lol) I thought this was a jump form core build?

Yes it's a Jump Form. When in full swing, it should rise one floor per week.

I'm not totally clued up on the programmes either but I can't see past the Walkie Talkie being first to reach 150m.

..actually, i'd go with 122 Ledenhall getting to the 150m milestone 1st, given that it has no concrete core...alot quicker to go vertical with just steel...you only have to look at how quickly The Broadgate Tower (165m) started to shoot up once construction was in full swing.

Concrete doesn't look like it's for the core but its a start, my guess is the pump will be delivered tomorrow and concrete core pumping will commence Monday

London is very hard for construction, just to do some simple road works you need a letter from god

No it won't, the external envelop will be covering the whole building before 2014, once the construction gets into full motion the vertical construction would be speeding away on all factors to the building.
