Yes but if we moan enough perhaps the companies will start doing 24hr working which is what they should be doing considering it's location.

Though I'd put odds of a million to one to this actually happening!

Big activity today

Counted at least 30 construction workers on site - most amazingly, 4 cement mixers: two on site, two waiting in second row in Bishopsgate, pump in full action etc. Perhaps the predicted two more jumps and one crane lift before the re-start.They left the gate open for me to take inside pic.

Great little update. Your third photo is most unusual. If I try and take pictures of inside sites I either get "hey, no pictures" or "get lost" . But that guy seemed very welcoming.

Don't worry, I'm sure that guy will get fired soon, letting people take pictures in the heart of London's financial district is tantamount to treason, and should be arrested under the terrorism act!

They should make it out of plastic, would be cheaper and quicker.

IT's CHRISTMAS!!!

All sites will shut down next week until after the New Year.
( except a few bits that can only be done over a long holiday, like removing the foot bridge at the Shard)

Not a great deal going on from yesterday, maybe a dozen workers around. Cement Mixers were present thou and one crane was in action. As LJ stated earlier the front of the site is a real mess with the roadworks, totally blocked off for any kind of major access.

I must say compared to 122L and Fenchurch, they certainly aren't racing to get this completed, but we all know the reasons for this.

Looks like the form work that is being built at the far end of the site ( 1st photo above) could be the core for the utilities building

From today .... you can see where the new concrete has been poured (last photo). The number 6 should be visible in a few days when the concrete has set.

Very slow progress on that one, but the good thing is that the core continues to rise gradually.

And the boundary between the blue section and the green section is the Lloyds TSB sign!
