I doubt we'd notice. 'progress' is only ever relative on this site, which is why I hardly ever check this thread.

How long has this been 'U/C' now?

Yeah I know what you mean. I think interest will perk up once it's visible from a distance and popped up above a few of the surrounding buildings. That gives a sense of scale in relation to other buildings and there are many more vantage points for photos from around the capital which I think makes the posts and thread more interesting.

Lunch update

Not a massive amount going on but shutters have been removed from mystery box (photo) and materials being lifted into core (photo). I saw two cranes in operation.

One or two more crane rises and the cranes will be visible from further away.

Update and Roadworks

Clearing the roadworks and removing safety equipment before Christmas but, wait for it: digging it all up again in january. They will finish end march and then re-tarmac the whole of Bish and Gracechurch.

On site, more bracket welding in anticipation of steels...
TC2 lifting steel brackets and rebar into core for next pour - will they make it before the shutdown?

Anyway, back to Bishopsgate. This kind of talk isn't really for this thread.

That building on the left in the second last picture needs a serious sand blast, looks filthy.

I do celebrate it but due to circumstances this year my family are having christmas next week - so I wanted to seize the rare opportunity to bike all around london without fearing traffic death. I wouldn't say I went out specifically to update ssc, hehe, but it has been ages since I've seen the City sites so it had to be done!

It was pretty awesome having the freedom of the streets I must say, I wish we could do it every sunday.

The City feels weird at the moment with so many "holes" opening up new sight lines I'm not used to, wish I could have stayed and explored them with more serious photographic intent, but I was on a bit of a mission to get round the west end and back home before I ran out of steam!
