NANJING | Projects & Construction

Greenland Square Zifeng Tower, 381m (450 including the spire), under construction





December 25, 2005 (the pic is too old, sorry)


Nanjing International Center. Main tower: 357m, 82f, to be started soon; + 2x 167m, under construction




Jinling Hotel Tower, 336m, 88f, approved




Deji Plaza Phase 2, 315m
(old render of the former 268m project, the current design has a very similar looking)


Nanjing New Century Plaza, 255m, 52, topped out
June 2006, maybe it is complete already




Nanjing IFC, supposed to be 340m, approved
Im not sure this project is real. It was posted in skscrapercity a long time ago...


Jinao Tower, 232m, 50f, under construction


October 2005 (very old, I know)


Nanjing International Finance Center Office Tower, aka Zhaoshang Tower, 232m, 51f, topped out


Landsea International Plaza, 228m, 53f, under construction


Nanjing Centennial Towers: 2x 224m, 64f, proposed (twin towers)


Shimao Riviera New Town, huge residential project u/c, 12 towers over 40 floors, the tallest one must be close to 60 floors.




Jiangsu TV Station Building, u/c


Hengren Towers, u/c




Nanjing International Finance Center, 218m, u/c

There are many other projets over 200m, but I haven't found any render of them:
Xinjiekou Department Store Phase 2: 260m, 60f
New Gateway By F&T: 250m
Nanjing No.2 Telecom Hub Building, 200m, 48f, topped out
Nanjing Electron World Building, 195m,42f

I like the 450m tower, although Im not a fan of its cheater spire. (toothpicks cant be called spires)...The rest are great too! simple, sleek glass giants.

The second image from the bottom is not in Nanjing, its the China Central Place in Beijing.

just a little something i have noticed with these projects, especially the super talls, they looks very similar to other projects either already under construction or built. is this on purpose by the developers.

I particularly like "Landsea International Plaza" and "Nanjing International Center".
I had plans long ago to visit this city, but mainly due to historical reasons, but now I have somthing else to look around for.

Nanjing is a very pleasant city, that's undergoing terrific developement.

Greenland Sq. is very impressive! It will be one of China's best designed supertalls when completed in my opinion. Reminds me of Commerzbank Turm in Frankfurt...
