The name "400 North Lake Shore Drive" makes me wanna go to sleep...

Why did they have to get rid of Fordham Spire? I loved the name

It's probably only a temporary name. There won't be an observation deck mainly due to traffic and security issues. There should be a restaurant or two, though.

the bottom 1/3 is most massive and taken longest. the next 1/3 will be alot quicker with smaller sections and last 1/3 is spire and pinnacle which should go up relatively quickly

It doesnt make any sense to me why they put an observation deck on the halfway level. Shouldnt it be on the top??

Perhaps they figured the higher they go the less floor space there would be available for the observation deck. The building becomes rather thin the higher it goes. Belive me observation decks can get very crouded very fast I dunno if you ever ben on the Sears Tower's Observation deck but damn does that get jammed packed with people. Figure the more floor space the bigger the observation area will be and the more people you can cram in to it!

but what about an upper level observation deck thats ticketed at a higher price? That could mean lots of bucks for the developers!

Now that would be a very good idea! Say for example instead of charging 12.00 USD you charge 20.00 USD and that will take you up a few more meeters.
