UAE is a muslim country. They have a diffent calendar and year countand they celebrate New Years Eve on a whole different date. Not to mention that Christmas is not celebrated at all because they are muslims.

I think the Burj will be finished on time. Isnt it Emaar who is building it? thats a very good construction company.

I have told YOU countless of times: STOP playing the "expert", commenting on things you have no idea about.

Thank you Bikes and yes I know United Arab Emirates is a muslim country, I just wanted to know in what year you all are at. I know in your religion it is over the year 5,000. I just want to know exactly what year. Like we Christians are in the year 2006. Obviously you all know that due to the fact that besides Jewish and Muslims and Hindus and Budhism everyone else in this website are Christians. Sorry if I'm offending you all in any certain way, I just want to learn a little more about your respected interesting religion. I think you all respect your God way more than we do. You all would never dare to curse at him or stop believing in him, something that we as Christians do a lot. And about the Burj Dubai, I believe it will be done the day that it says, you people are very punctual at stuff.

I guess it's just human nature, but it always seems that the quickest way to start an argument is to bring up religion in any way - someone always gets offended. I've always believed that at least 2 things should always remain private - a persons sex life and their religious views. It just seems more respectful to me to leave some things unsaid.

I really dont know what does that have to do with the subject but if it makes u happy we are in year 1427 and we can never be over 5000 because our religion came after christianity and Judasim.

feel free to ask in private if u want to know anything about Islam

Since 80% of the population are immigrants. 55% muslim, 25 % is Hindu, 10 % is Christian, 5 % is Buddhist, and 5 % other religions. 85% of the muslims are Sunni and the rest Shia. The rest can whorship but not prosytilze. When I say ''muslim country'' i mean that all emirates have *Islamic* law for civil, criminal, and high courts. Or am I wrong?
