Wow! impressive weather phenomena. I never thought sandstorms would be so dense visibility were that greatly reduced.

I looked up Dubai's weather for yesterday. The high was 106F (41C) and the low was 91F (33F). How did anyone ever sleep at nigth before air conditioning! At least Las Vegas cools down at night. I don't know how the citizens of Dubai deal with it. If I lived there I'd keep pack ice under my dishdashah.

I'm looking forward to the first pictures of a completed Burj Dubai sticking out above a sand storm. I'm assuming, of course, the sand isn't blown more than a half mile up. Either way, I am sure it will be disorienting to persons high in the tower.

People who live in areas with high temperatures gain some kind of tolerance. For example 35 degrees for me its warm but for most europeans its very hot. And when its 10 degrees in Europe its a bit cold but for me its freezing :p

I live in Phoenix AZ and in case you didn't know one of the hottest city in the States http://www.weather.com/weather/month...nav_undeclared

If you consider 35 degrees warm then either you need to see your doctor (our average body temperature is 37) or you need to stand in the sun out there for a few hours instead of watching the weather through the window of your air conditioned car or office.

That is going to be the most gorgeous building in the world. I'm going to visit Dubai when it is finished. Would like to see sth like a spectators terrace at the highest floor of this one. Does anybody have any information about attraction like this one?

Thanks for the update. Just curious, how often do these sand storms occur in Dubai?
