well it was suppose to be started in april
i found the info on a NEW ACTIVITY, showing whats going to get started and be finshed

And i have never even been close to a 60 story tall building before, and 60 story is like just the botton of BD. Incredible!

i wonder how it will fair in extreme weather conditions... high strong winds? it would be scary being on the very top yikes!

^ because of massive foundations and piling, the most the tower will sway is 1.5m, which isnt much for a 800m high structure.

Hmm, well since they are keeping pace at roughly one floor per week or better, I'd say 85 is not a stretch at all.

Not really if you look at the first page, the updates on that are from 21st july and the it was 56 storeys tall and if you look todays update its already 60 storey tall, so it has risen 4 floors just in 9 or 10 days.

heres a table i worked out sometime back. only approximate. not the bible.lol
BurjD should be lev92/350m by NYE!

milestones-
lev40=152m/500ft (became a skyscraper)
lev50=190m-June 20/06 Solistice.
lev60=228m
lev70=266m
lev80=304m or 1000ft!
lev92=350m -NYE 2007.(will be highest bldg in Dubai ,or as high as Emerates tower spire).
lev100=380m
lev110=418m
lev120=456m
lev130=494m
lev134=509m (becomes tallest bldg in world surpassing taipei101)- june 2007?
lev140=532m
lev149=555m-(becomes tallest free standing structure surpassing 553m CN Tower)
lev156=575m (highest concrete part of structure)
#lev156-160=620m (2035ft) -oct 2007?
161 + PLANT=645m roof
#745m-120m spire is added which will have 30 or so "levels" inside surpassing 628m /KVLY mast in Blanchard,USA.
#60m pinnacle added to becomes tallest man-made structure @ 808m/2650ft/half a mile high!
