But its so weird how no injuries ever occured, especially in NYC where people can't move properly in crowds and 3pm which is perfect time for people to get hurt.

But the sound must've been loooouuuud. Is there any captured video of the falling glass?

Did the glass panel fell on the 42nd Street side?

As far as I remember when I was there a couple of years ago, the pavement wasn't very wide and it was shilded from the construction overhead, so probably the panel felt on the street.

I believe this is due to a batch of bad fasteners combined with the recent swings in temperature in the northeast of the country.

Probably 80-100 windows will have to be removed, fiddled with, and re-attached. According to construction workers i've talked to. The fasteners in question came from one specific company & are being replaced by fasteners from the company that supplied the rest of them according to one man in a hard hat, so it may be correct or may not be.

And obviously now that you said that, they will yell "yes sir" and do it. right? or maybe not? Maybe you have absolutely NO idea why they haven't worked on the crown, have NO information regarding any of the priorities that involve the construction and the finishing of a building (like creating the indoor environment needed to be able to finish the insides and allow for people to work so that the investment for the construction can be recuperated as soon as possible and start the profit). No, probably you know everything already and you just know something that nobody else in the world knows.

From my understanding (from a source at wirednewyork) this building has very complex mechanical system that must be installed before the glass crown is finished (and I imagine it is complex because this will be the first LEED platinum building).

Wonder why BoA went with red background with its logo... it looks cheap and ugly now.

While the top floors are being finished, are there people working on the bottom floors? Because I see what appears to be blinds/curtains pulled down.

I think so. There were some interior shots with cardboard boxes on completed floors that were posted a few months back.
