Verizon is 630 ft, and the one to the north is the Interchem Building at 552 ft.

Whats the white stuff around the top. Is that just protection for workers or is it a concrete core or something. Btw its really showing its height now and to think soon it will be one of the tallest in New York. Great Building, I think its best building in the world that's currently going up.

Do they have skyscrapers with a concrete construction in New York? It seen to me that they build every construction with steel.

I heard a while back that it was due to the mafia having control of the concrete industry in NY, not sure if that's still the case?

Office's usally are built with steel, and residental are built with concrete. You can get bigger open spaces with steel which is important for companys.

Is there a percentage of how much stronger a building built with reinforced concrete is than a building with just steel?
