Just a dumb question which might be answered already but will it be taller than 4 Timesquare's spire?

Interior? Your thinking of the New York Times tower. And yes it will be taller than conde nast/4 times square.

Just a thought though, what does an interior matter in a office building. It's not like your going to work in it. Plus mostly your only going to see the outside, so thats really only what matters.

The style of it is known as "Fractal Architecture". This is where towers or even low-rise buildings have shapes that cut into each other, usually on angles intercepting each other. Look @ the renders of 1 Bryant on previous pages and you'll see exactly this. A good example of this Fractal style is Eureka Tower in Melbourne, Australia.

BTW thanks for the pic updates czm3, MDguy & JACK NAPIER

Hi to everyone

The Tower's very Nice Looks great from the park.

Can anyone tell me, how "Remington Building" was demolished.

In my hometown, the highest office bldg (only 92 meters, 25 fl) will be demolished (without using TNT ) to make way for "Sky Tower" (222 m, 56 fl).

And the glass projects another 7 floors above that, not to mention at least 2 mechanical levels above the 54th floor, i'm assuming that the "point" of the glass is the 948' mark, can anyone verify this???

i think the facade is good at best, however my beef it that its actual height is shorter then it will get credit for....im tired of buildings having 300-400 ft spires jus to make it to 1,200ft or higher.

Yeah i agree... this building seems like it will be nearly as tall as the ESB (1250 feet, not including the TV antennae, versus 1200 feet), but since a bulk of that height is in the spire it will never become an icon. I wanna see the silhouette from miles away, but instead ill just see a spire, just like the Conde Nast building

I like that sober style. It fits with the zone. It´s like a "serious" building...
