I love the design of BofA Tower but I'm starting to hate the fascade on it. I think they need to get little darker facasde to make it look sharper and futurstic.

I agree. There are lots of horizontal lines that I didnt think would be there. From certain angels it makes the building look wonky. I imagined the gless would be quite reflective... as if you were looking at a piece of amethyst or something.

HeY, i was just on the Cross-Brx expressway today, where u can kinda see the layout of midtown and only the tallest buildings appear above the horizon, and this one defintely makes the cut, and if not previously stated, the crane a-top creates an impressive illusion of the spire

I agree. This fascade is making BoFa Tower looks few decades older. I don't like it at all.

Reminds me of Q1's Facade.

Just to go of topic a second, what's with the building next to it? (I forget its name) Is that really the colour of the new facade? Please shout me down and say thats some sort film or covering, otherwise its 10x worse than it was before!

and yeah, I agree the facade of BofA looked a lot shinier in the renderings. In some pictures on this thread it does look quite reflective but the other ones below it just looks dull and monotonous with all those horizontal lines.

Meh, I guess if new skyscraper isn't shiny enough developers can find some old one nearby and tart it up. The Bush Tower perhaps?

August 7 pictures on a hot, steamy and sticky day and gray 92 F/33 C degree day...

Sorry for the poor sky and exposure...

Closer look:

I took this from the ground up sitting down...

The facade seems to have some protective covering/film and it looks glossy, I think it's going to be more reflective, can anyone confirm the film?

ahhh... that would make more sense. I was thinking that may be the case but I couldn't really think of any previous examples. Although I have read how protecting glass during construction can be an issue.

Great photos BTW

I'm also a little disappointed by the facade, hopefully it is protective film on it.

It does seem a bit washed out. In some pics, it looks like maybe protective film, others not. Perhaps just a good gleaming scrub nearing the end of construction.

However compared to Verizon's reclad in its deep tones and standing alongside, it certainly will look "dullish" comparatively.

Still, a great looker so far IMO. Its slicing 'n dicing makes this one IMO.

Top pics New Jack. Always love your street scenes.
