Serious question and therefore here's my serious answer:
Chrystler... Well... with the Eiffel Tower and Bank of China, Chrystler is still the most daring thing architecture has presented I believe. At least in terms of high rise.

There's spire and spire.
When a spire is a 'structure', when it is a part of the building, a vertical (duh!)continuation of it such as it is for Chrystler, ESB, or as it will be for Generali in Paris or LBT in London: sweet.

When it's a big **** off rusting metal rod standing miraculously atop the building (Commerzbank, Times Tower now, BOA soon or Tapei 101 which plays with the border line if you ask me): to hell with the darn thing!! I wouldn't even want to see it used as a strip pole by Carmen Electra. (Actually... Let me think about this one again and I'll get back to you...)

It that clearer and fairer?

ok..i think this picture says it all...NYC has the best skyline in the US hands down...Midtown kills Chicago..although Chicago is very close..but u still have lower Madd-Havin- the new WTC complex..as well as new GS building as well as the new Midtown Tower..imho
